Who we are
Aston Education Services Ltd (company number 16533484), Unit 20 B80 Withworth House, 28 Charles Street, Stockport SK1 3JR, is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Data protection enquiries: complaints@aston-education.site.
What we collect and why
- Enquiry details — name, email, phone, level of study and your message. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in responding to an enquiry you initiated.
- Client records — grades, transcripts, statements, proposals and correspondence. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- Special category data — only where you disclose a disability or health condition relevant to access arrangements, and only with your explicit consent.
- Site analytics — aggregate page statistics, only if you accept analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become engagements: 12 months from last contact.
- Client files and application documents: 24 months after the engagement ends.
- Invoices and financial records: six years, as required by HMRC.
Who we share it with
Only where you instruct us to, or where we must: a university or admissions office you have asked us to contact, our email and document hosting providers acting as processors under contract, and our accountants. We do not sell personal data and we do not pass enquiry details to third-party recruiters.
If you pay by card, your name, email address, billing address and order details are shared with our payment provider, who collect the payment on our behalf and who are responsible for handling your card details. We never see or store your full card number. Their own privacy notice covers what they do with the payment data they hold.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. We respond within one calendar month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
International transfers
Our hosting and email providers store data within the UK and EEA. Where a transfer outside that area is unavoidable, it is made under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
